SSD is not connected through Intel controller Certain Samsung SSD models are reported to have connectivity issue when connected through a different controller than Intel. Is there any way someone could suggest me somekind of solution to solve this problem. Because the SSD doesn’t have enough power to function, it will not get detected by Samsung Magician.
In attachment I send screenshot of SMU of my ssd. Is there any chance I could use Samsung Magician utility with full options available?
I only manage to run the test of writing/reading speed,iops etc. Is it possible and how I manage to do that?I am aware that is not possible to update in windows by utility samsung because this utility only shows basic information of drive, it does not detect it samsung drive, it doesn't show info of whether is sata 1,2,3. Im still able to boot with my samsung m.2 SSD, in RST w/ optane support mode. Its not a huge issue, but whenever I switch from AHCI to RST w/ optane support, my samsung magician software breaks and says my 970 pro is not supported. Present firmware on my notebook is CXM05H1Q, and I want to update it with official samsung firmware CXM03B1Q. I am not pairing my optane memory with my m.2 boot drive. I only want to use samsung magician utility, it has very nice interface,and really like it.I 'm having trouble to update firmware on my ssd. After a restart (not the first one) the laptop goes in a 'Checking media. Both SSD's were listed in the information tab in the boot menu. I installed Win 10 on the NVMe drive and things were working fine. source drive > Next > target drive > Proceed. I have problem with ssd samsung 830 (oem version) built in my laptop because I can't use full features of Samsung Magician Utility 4.0. I bought a Lenovo Y540 laptop and installed two SSD's: a Samsung 860 EVO and a Samsung 970 EVO Plus (M2 NVMe).
